Quick Road Trip

Last weekend I got to go with Matt and our friends Tyler and Whitney to Fresno where Matt grew up. One of Matt's best friends got married.

Also because I was there with one of the groomsman I got to help decorate the car.

We did have lots of fun making a mess of the car, but I was reminded after word that our wedding is next. So that means my car is next oops.

I had such a great time in Fresno it was warm and beautiful and the people I got to meet while I was there were so friendly and nice. I now see why Matt loves it there so much.

Catch Up

Alright so last I wrote was a pretty exciting time! And I am having so much fun being engaged. I have been doing a lot of planning and stuff to get ready for the wedding and I am glad I have another 48 days to get everything done but at the same time I wish it was here now haha.

Some things we have been up to since we got engaged. Well Valentines day was a week after and I had to work but Matt came to Lehi and we went to Olive Garden for lunch. And he also got me some beautiful flowers!

Just a few days ago was St. Patrick's day and we made green eggs and ham and green pancakes!

Those are the only things I have pictures of but we have done other fun things like BYU baseball games, Jazz games, registering, putting together wedding invitation, bowling, ice skating, group dates and lots of other fun stuff! This Thursday I am getting in a car with Matt and our other 2 friends Tyler and Whitney we are driving to St. George after work and staying with Whitney's family at their condo for a night and then waking up and driving like 8 more hours to Fresno. We are going to Matt friends wedding. It will be really fun to spend time with them and see where Matt grew up, but it is a short trip we will get there Friday afternoon and then we will be there for the wedding festivities on Saturday and then come back to Utah on Sunday! So I wish we could stay longer but that is alright it will be an adventure haha! Well hope your all doing well! Hopefully I will be back soon!

I am sure many of you have heard that I am engaged to the most amazing man! His name is Matt and for those of you who have met him you know that he is a keeper. I could not ask for anyone better to spend eternity with!

So here is the story on Friday night Matt was taking me out for a birthday dinner my birthday was not till Saturday but we had plans with friends and stuff on Saturday so we decided to go to dinner just me and him the night before my birthday. I had to work that day so when I got off work I went and met Matt in Salt Lake because he was already there for school. I met him at his school and we took the Trax to the Temple. We went to dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial building. We were sitting on a bench up at the top of the building waiting for our table looking down onto the Temple grounds. While we were sitting there Matt asked me if I wanted to open my birthday present. I opened the gift and it was this really cute digital scrapbook that he made on the Internet while I was on my cruise with my family. The book is a "Remember When" book.

It has pictures and words about all the things that we have done while we have been dating. The book is just the cutest thing I love it and I was so proud of him for making something so cute for my birthday. So I am just reading through every page on the book and then I turn to the last page.

It felt like it took me a while to put the whole thing together in my head. I looked at the words for a minute and at the picture for a minute and when I finally figured out what was going on I looked up and he was down on his knee! It was so so perfect I was so surprised he had done and said many things in the two weeks prior to make me think this wasn't going to happen for a very long time. I jumped up and hugged him and knew what my answer was immediately.

My ring is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I was so proud of him for designing it so perfectly he did have a little help from my sister, but we had never been ring shopping or anything like I said it was a complete surprise.

As if the whole proposal wasn't enough of a surprise my sister Brandy called me halfway through dinner to let me know that she was going over to my Aunts house to play games with my cousins that that we should come by on our way home. So we got to my Aunts house and went inside and Matt had planned a whole surprise birthday party for me with all of our friends and cousins and the biggest surprise was that my mom and brothers came up just for one night to come to my party. It was so so much fun!

So now after this story of all the great things Matt has done for me you can see how incredible he is and why I can't wait to grow old with him.

The wedding planning is already going very quickly. There is so much to be done but I am excited and I have lots of help. So I will keep everyone updated on the wedding plans. We do know that we are getting married in the Salt Lake City temple on May 9th at 12:40 so there are those details and our wedding colors are Purple Black and Winter White. So like I said I will keep everyone updated.

Judges

This last Thursday Feb. 5th Matt Brandy and I went to judge the MR. MS. T competition at the high school were my cousin Aaron Barth teaches Spanish. He is also the Student Council Advisor so he had to find judges so he asked us. It was so much fun we got to judge the couples on their videos they made and their skits they did and finally on the questions they answered. It was a very entertaining night so thanks Aaron for inviting us.

Cruisin in Mexico

On January 24th I went on a Cruise with my Dad and our family. It was so much fun unfortunately I don't have all the pictures ready to blog right now but I will add them later here is a sample of some though. We went to Cabo and Encinada. It was a 5 day cruise and I loved it I for sure recommend cruising as a vacation it is so much fun and so relaxing!

Fondue Fun

So for Matt's Christmas present I made him a book of dates. Each page had gift cards and stuff for dates for us to go on. So the first one we did was on Jan. 7th we went to a fondue cooking class at Thanksgiving Point. It was really fun. We learned how to make lots of good food and even better we got to eat the good food. I made Matt take a picture with the teacher so we can put the pictures of our dates in the book I made him.

Washington

On December 29th I flew to Portland, OR. Where my boyfriend Matt picked me up from the airport. His parents live in Vancouver, WA. I got to go spend 7 days there with them. It was so fun and I was so grateful for the break. Here are some pictures of some of the things we did.

Matt's parents gave me tickets to the Trailblazer vs. Celtics game.

We went shopping a lot in portland. I think we went to 3 different malls. I went there with 3 pairs of shoes and came back with 7 haha.

On New Years eve Matt and his dad lit fire crackers. And we hung out at his house playing games, eating food, watching movies and watching the ball drop.

One night we went with Matt's family to eat at the Portland City Grill it was on the top floor of I think the tallest building in Portland. It was really pretty up there and the food was great!

Matt took me to this waterfall. I cant remember what it is called but it was so beautiful there.

I really enjoyed my trip everything there is so green and pretty. I was thankful for the time I got to spend with Matt and his family.

Christmas

Sorry I didn't take very many pictures of Christmas stuff for some reason. I had to work on Christmas so I was here in Provo. On Christmas morning I went to my Aunt Pam's house and spent it with the Hicks family. I was grateful to have someone to spend Christmas with. I got money from my mom for my new computer. I got a pick bathroom set from my brother Camden. Brandy gave me the 5 disk set of Harry Potter and I also got Peter Pan to start my new Disney Movie Collection. Then on the 28th we went to my dad's house for our Christmas with them. Our main present from them is the cruise to Mexico that we are going on in 15 days yay! I am so excited! So as you can see I had a pretty great Christmas.

December 20th was an eventful day. It was my boyfriends birthday and two of his best friends from Fresno (Matt's Home Town) got married that day. So first in the morning we went to the temple for the wedding and pictures and stuff.

After all the Wedding festivities we went to down town Salt Lake to a Marriott hotel. We got two room and a bunch of our friends came to Celebrate Matt turning 22. We went to a movie, dinner, swimming and just hanging out we had a lot of fun!

Califonia Chrismas

Since I have to work on Christmas this year this trip I took with my family to Califonia a little more then a week ago was like my Christmas with my family. I always love our Califonia trips we always have so much fun! We got to stay at the Marriott Vacation Club that I used to work at in Newport Beach. It was a great little Vacation for me.

Festival of Trees! Dec. 4th

On December 4Th My roommate Michelle, our friend Jordan, my boyfriend Matt and I went to the festival of trees in Salt Lake. Its a Charity thing that they do every year where people decorate trees and donate them and then other people can buy them. The trees are displayed for a week or two so people can walk through and look at the tree. It is fun to go see all the decorated trees.

This month has been pretty crazy busy so I will start from the beginning. On December 1st Matt and I had a fun date night in Salt Lake. My mom got a tickets to go to Body World. It was really interesting. Its pretty crazy to see how much we have going on in our bodies. I think the part that was the most interesting to me was to see the babies and how much they grow by day and by week. After Body World we went and saw Madagascar 2. It was a cute movie.

Before we came back to Provo we went to see the lights at Temple Square. They were beautiful and it was great to be there with Matt.

I can't beleive it has been a whole month since I last blogged. So here are a few things I did in November.

November 7th was my sisters birthday. Those of you who know my sister you know that there is no where she would rather be on her birthday then our home sweet home in Orderville. So that day after work and school we ventured down to southern Utah. It was great to be home I don't make it there very much but when I do it is always fun to see my family and friends there. My boyfriend and his friend Jordan had never been to Orderville so on Saturday morning we met some of Brandy's friends for a birthday breakfast at Golden Hills. After breakfast we went to Zion to do the overlook hike.
Later that night we went to Camden's Play (Suessical the Musical). I didnt get any good pictures of Cam in the play but there is a picture of us after word. and also a picture of me and April.

Then we mostly spent the rest of our time there playing with Brandy's birthday present.

The Wii!

I have also been going to lots of Jazz games this month. You know my I love the Jazz!

Thanksgiving was fun my family came to Provo because I had to Work and Brandy had school the day before and the day after Thanksgiving. I worked till 12:30 and then we went to my Aunt Jimaes. There werer lots of people there but it was fun to be with family on Thanksgiving.

I have so many things to be thankful for! I have truely been blessed!

Alright I have been pretty bad at keeping up with blogging this month. So here is what I have been up to.

On the 18th my mom and Noah came and we went to Frightmares at Lagoon. It was fun to see my family and to go to lagoon with my friends.

On the 20th the managers at the Marriott (My Job) got VIP passes to Cornbellys at Thanksgiving Point. There were lots for fun things to do there: Wagon Rides, Corn Maze, jumping pillows, slides, pumpkin princess, giant blow up creature, pumpkin cannons, corn cannons, a pumpkin tower that had lots of carved pumpkins that included Pres. Hinkley and Utah Jazz and many more, Machanical Bull, pig races, and much more. It was kinda set up for kids but we definatly had fun!

Matt got his wisdom teeth out the day before Halloween so I was alittle worried all we would be doing for halloween in sitting on the couch watching a movie while Matt slept. He was pretty our of it on Thursday, but on Friday he was feeling alittle better. He was still pretty drugged up but we were able to go hang out at Aunt Pam's for a while.

So that was my October! What a fun month!!!

"No More Pictures"

I don't know why it is so hard for men to take pictures. My two cousins Caleb and Aaron are rarly making normal faces in pictures.

Well I now have someone else in my life that does not like to make normal faces in pictures here are some examples and notice how my face if the same in all of these pictures.

I think he is just hoping if he is always making weird faces then I will stop making him take pictures but you know me I love pictures so I guess I will just have to get used to the faces.

Basketball season has returned and I am so excited it is only pre season right now, but that just means it is getting closer and closer to the actual season starting. On Thursday I took Matt and Noah to the first home game. It is always fun to see Noah and I am trying to pass on my joy of the Utah Jazz to him. I had fun and I am excited for this season! Go Jazz

175th General Conference Oct 2008

I have never had the opportunity to attend General Conference until last week. It was so so amazing. First may I say the Conference Center is unbelievable in it so big and so beautiful if any of you have never been there i seriously recommend it. Being in that giant room with so many wonderful people and examples that share the knowledge and beliefs as me was so powerful and comforting. I was sitting on the 15Th row in the center just taking it all in. To hear our Prophet and leaders speaking to the nation and to be sitting right in front of them to hear it all just made me feel so grateful. I am so blessed to have a mother who through trials and hard times had faith enough to stay close to her heavenly father and to raise her children to know what she knows. I am so blessed to have the family and friends that I have to bring me up and be great examples to me. Most of all I am so blessed to know that I am one of God's children and to know that he loves me. He gives me Prophets, Leaders, Teachers, Family and Friends to help me know what is right and what will make me happy. He helps me through good time and bad. He is always with me. I am grateful to be able to know that I am always loved. I have been blessed to be a member of this Church and I know that by living the teaching of the Gospel I will have happiness and will be able to return to my Father in Heaven someday.

Top of Utah Marathon

Last Saturday September 20Th my boyfriend Matt ran a marathon in Logan UT. The weekend was quite the adventure. He was really excited about this marathon so I wanted to do something special for him. So earlier in the week I decided to make Shirts for all of us to wear to support him. The plan was to make 14 shirts for his friends and family to wear. I got some ideas for his friend Tyler and I was really excited to make the shirts. I thought it would not take to long to do these shirts so I didn't start making them till Thursday (the night we were supposed to leave). It turned out to be quite the process so me and Matt's sister Stefanie spent the whole evening and most of the night making the shirts, but it was worth it because they turned out really cute.

So Friday after work I drove to Logan to mean Matt and his family for dinner. Then all of our friends followed behind. Sadly there were no hotels available in Logan over the weekend so me and all of mine and Matt's friends got to camp. My great mom ordered us a tent online and it came right in time. The tent was huge and fit all 7 of us very comfortably.

Finally it was Saturday morning. Time for the marathon. It actually started at 7am but there were no spectators aloud till mile 14. So the first time we saw matt was at mile 14. He was flying and smiled and was talking to us like he wasn't even tired. At mile 13.1 his time was

The next time we saw him was mile 21 it was raining pretty hard while we were waiting so we had to take shelter under trees and tarps. Also while we were waiting for him to come a reporter for the Logan Herold was interviewing our friend about our Team Matt shirts. At mile 20 his time was 2:13:22.

After mile 21 we went to the finish line. Once the clock hit 3 hours we started to get alittle nervous. We really wanted his time to be under 3:10 because that is what you have to get to qualify for the Boston Marathon. But then we finally saw him round the corner. We were so so excited and I am sure he was also pretty excited to see the finish line. He finished the Marathon in 3:05:21. He did so so good!

He is now going to run the Boston Marathon next April.

AST Dew Tour

On Saturday September 13th I went to the AST Dew tour with my Sisters, brother and friends. For those of you who don't know what this is you should for sure check it out. Usually I am not into these types of things, but we had so much fun. AST stand for Action Sports Tour. So basicly its like the x games. They have Motor X, BMX, and Skateboarding. It was all way intence and very exciting. It was fun to take my brother Camden cuz he is all into boarding stuff so I am really glad he got to come.

Sorry I know it has been a while since the last time I updated. I have been really busy the last few weeks with work, moving, and having fun with my friends. So here are some things I have been doing.

On Aug. 21st I got tickets from my work for an outdoor theater at Sundance Resort "A Midsummer Nights Dream". We all had a little bit of a hard time understanding what they were talking about, but we cought on and had alot of fun.

On August 22nd we had to move out of our apartment at Raintree and we couldn't move into our new apartment at Branbury until the 25th so I got us a suit at the downtown Marriott were I used to work. People thought we were pretty weird wheeling big carts of stuff into the hotel. We had good movers thought here are some pictures of our hotel room with all of our stuff in it and of Matt and Ben helping us move our stuff.

On the 25th we moved out of the hotel and into our new apartment. Everything is finally coming together. So here are a few pictures of the new place. I live with my sister Brandy, her friend from school Jessica and my roomate from my freshman and sophmore year Michelle.

Jet Setters to LA!

On Friday Brandy came to pick me up from work. We went to my dad's house for dinner and then headed for the airport. Our friends Matt and Jordan went home to Fresno CA a couple days earlier and They were going to be in LA on Friday so we decided to go meet them there for desert. So we got on our plane here in Utah at 8:30 and landed in LA at 9:30 California time. Our friends picked us up at the airport and he headed straight for Claim Jumper.

After we got our delisious desert and a couple hand fulls of root beer barrels we set off for the beach. We went to Radondo Beach it was beautiful and fun. The beach always is!

It was getting late so we decided to go to the hotel. We stayed a a nice Marriott Renessance. They sold out of our room type so they upgraded us to a Suite. That was nice because I was not sure how all six of us were going to fit in the regular room anyway.

We slept for a couple hours and then me and Brandy got up bright and early to catch a plane home for work and school. So we were in LA for a total of 8 1/2 hours but it was worth every minute! We had so much fun!

Caleb and Becca Hicks!

I promise I will blog more with picutres later cuz that is the fun part but I dont have any of the picutes right now but last week on the 9th of August Caleb and Becca got married. I am so so happy for them and I know they will have a wonderful life together. I am so glad that I am so close to them and I am sad they are moving to Ogden so I can't see them much anymore, but I know when I do that we will have a blast!

I didn't know it was going to be so hard for me to see my Cousin Caleb get married I guess I just always thought I would be first haha. He has always been one of my best friends. He has always been there for me no matter what I was going through. I know that he is still is, but I guess it was just a little hard for me because he now has a new best friend, he is not my Caleb anymore. I knew this day would come and I know that one day I will find a best friend I get to spend my life with too, but I just wanted him to know how greatful I am for him and how much I love him. I think that Becca is so great and wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better person for Caleb to be with, so Becca I guess I can share him with you haha. Be good to each other. Well haha I guess this blog has turned into a letter to Caleb and becca. Sorry everyone but I had to get this off my chest and I will post all the cute pictures of the BBQ, Temple, and Reception when Rachel sends them to me.

Promotion!

So I am sure most of you know, but about a month ago I was offered a new position at my job. I was working front desk, but looking for something more. My manager called me in to his office. He offered me a newer better job. When he told me what the job was I was kind of in shock. You see I have been working front desk and answering phones for 3 different Marriott hotels for the past two years so when my Manager told me they wanted me to be the Housekeeping supervisor I was Little surprised. I new it would be a great step in my career and it would teach me alot more about hotels, so I took the job. I had to wait to start until they found someone to fill my spot at the front desk so I officially started 2 weeks ago. I do like the job and I am learning so much. I get to work at 8:30am I separate the dirty rooms into lists for the housekeepers. The housekeeper all arive at 9am and we have a morning meeting, then they leave to go start their rooms. While they start I go and walk the hotel for anything that need to be done or cleaned I make list (yep just like the ranch list haha). After that I check all the Vacant Ready rooms from the previous day to make sure that they are really Vacant and ready to sell. Then at about 10 I will go around and check on the housekeepers to see how many rooms they have finished and make sure they don't need anything. After they have finished some rooms I start checking the rooms. I have a inspection sheet that I fill out for each housekeeper. I have to check every room they clean to make sure everything is up to Marriott standard. Also I am responsible for all the storage closets in the hotel and making sure they are kept clean, I do all the inventory, I make the schedule for the housekeeper and much more. It is hard work but I know it is worth it. It March the Company that owns my hotel is Building a Marriott Residence Inn in Lehi and if I work hard and prove myself in this position I will be the Assistant General Manager of the hotel. That would be huge for someone my age, so I am really really excited about the opportunities I am getting in life to learn and grow.

Whiting Reunion

On the 29th of July I left my apartment in the afternoon to begin a great adventure with the ones I love most! We left Aunt Pam's that afternoon to head to Orderville. We got there to meat up with about 20 more of our family. We had a BBQ at the town pool and just hung out. The next morning we started our 10 hour trip to Arizona. We made a lot of stops on the way so it felt like it was taking forever to get there. We were about 5 miles to camp when I woke up to a huge pop and the car started shaking. Yep we had a blow out in our tire 5 miles before we arrived. So luckily our cousins (The Pattersons) were not to far behind us so Eric tought us all how to change a tire. Then we finally got to camp. The first night was just the Bodell Family. There was probably 50 of us there. Then next day was when everyone arrived at the Whitting Homestead. It is always fun to see all the people there even thought I don't even know most of them. For those of you reading this that are not in my famiy the Whiting Reunion is my Grandmas Grandparents so all of the desendents of my great great grandparents have the Whiting reunion every 2 years. I have not been to it alot but I am so glad I went this time. We had alot of fun. On Friday Aug. 1st and Saturday the 2nd they did a sort of Poineer Village thing it was way cool. Everyone Dressed up and there were different things you could go see like the cash store, milking cows, spinning yarn, quilting, ice cream parlot, barbor shop, bull wipp, sling shot, chair making, grandma kitchen and much more. It is always very cool to learn about your heritage. Our Family was in charge of the dances in the nights so I got to lead them. There were lots of people who came so it was lots of fun to be up there on the stage again teaching line dances, it took me back to ranch days and Oh do I miss those days! So Saturday night we started our trip home. We made it to Flagstaff AZ where we got a hotel room at the Americana in. It was deffinatly not Marriott! OK I am not going to lie it was pretty scary haha but a fun adventure! Then Sunday we finlly got home. I had a great time and I am so glad I went I always love spending time with my Family!

Rocky Mountain Revue!

The Rocky Mountain Revue, for those of you who don't already know, is a basketball tounament for the the summer nba league. It is pretty much all the scrubs and rookies of the teams come and play eachother. I get 4 tickets every year for being a season ticket holder so last Wednesday Brandy, Matt and I went to check things out. We got pretty bad seats cuz we didn't get there till after the game started but it was still fun to see them play. The best part was that I got to take a picture with Paul Milsap and Ronnie Price! Ok yea I had to fight off an old usher lady to do it but it was way worth it! haha

Thursday night or Friday morning whatever you prefer I went with some friends to see the first showing of Batman. We went at 9 and hung out in the theater for 3 hours till the movie started with the excieption of people taking shifts to go get food. The movie was very good! I still can't decide if I like the first or second one better but it was way good! And Heath Ledger was way creapy but played the part like no one else could have!

My sister and I were so excited to hear that they were playing this week so on the night of the 16th we went to their concert at Muse music and took along some friends! Their concerts are always fun so we had a blast and I converted my friends over to After Mdnight fans.

Park City Weekend

On Saturday July 12th some on my friends and I decided to take a mini vacation to Park City. We left in the afternoon and arrived in Park City about 2pm. Our first stop was the Outlets because smart me forgot my swimsuit haha. After that we went to the Marriott Mountain Side Vacation Club to check into our Villa. We had a few problems at check in. The first two rooms they checked us into were dirty and then the third room the keys didn't work three different times that we went back on forth. I were a little annoyed, but did not get too upset because I know sometimes things go wrong. They handled it very well by bringing us a big gift basket after we finally got into the room and they also told us there would be a surprise waiting for us at the front when we check out the next morning. So after we all got settled we headed straight for the pool. The pool was way nice and we had some fun there. That evening after the pool we went and got all ready and dressed up to hit the town. Haha it was very fun we walked main street and went to a fancy dinner. That night we went back to the hotel for cards, hot tubing, movies and snacks. The next morning we got up and got ready for church. I went to check out of the room to find out the hotel took care of the room for all of our inconveniences, So our little get away turned out to be very cheap! We went to Breakfast and then to a singles ward in Park City and then it was time to head back to Provo. It was a really fun weekend that I defiantly needed!

Quick Trip

I had Monday and Tuesday off this week, so Sunday after work I got in my car and headed for home. I got to Orderville and got to hang out with my Brothers. I played trouble with Noah and then Camden and I watched some home videos from back in the day. Monday I just chilled around home and went to the Ponderosa for Lunch. Monday evening I went to Cedar City to hang out with Owen, April and Cassidy. We had alot of fun! We went to dinner at this Mexican place that was pretty good. After dinner we went to Wal Mart and got some Nerf guns. We went to the Park, there was this big wooden playground there that we would take turns hiding, finding and shooting eachother! It was so much fun! I love seeing and hanging out with old friends and also new ones ;) I stayed with Owen and April Monday night then back to Provo on Tuesday. It was a good couple days though.

Two days ago was Independence Day. I actually really like this holiday, because it is a day full of family, friends, food, fun, and fireworks haha a day full of things that start with F. I had to work in the morning, but that was ok because I only worked until 3pm and I got paid time and a half for holiday pay. After I got off work I went to my friends house (The Matt's) for a BBQ.

After the BBQ I went to my Apartment to get Brandy's Bike. I didn't want to have to drive to where we were watching fireworks because Traffic is always really bad after the fire works are over. So I rode the Bike up the hill to the Temple field where we were I met up with some of my friends and cousins.

Lagoon Pass!

So most of you that read this blog have already seen all this on the Barth's Blog, but for those of you who have not here is my California Trip last week.

I flew into Anaheim on Tuesday night at 8:30. Rachel and Julia picked me up. Thanks to my job we got 2 rooms at a Marriott across the street from Disneyland for a really great rate. So we drove to the Hotel and checked in. the rooms were perfect because we got connecting rooms so it felt like we were all together cuz the doors were open the whole time. So once we got to our rooms we waited for the rest of everyone that was driving to Cali, but by the time they got there we were all tired so we went to bed.

The next morning we woke up early to go get into disneyland. The best thing about the new Nemo ride is that everyone rushes there first. So while they are all waiting in line all day for Nemo we were able to do all the rides in Fantisyland in half an hour.
We tend to be Disneyland Pros, but it helps us also that this year of a million dreams we have gotten really lucky each time we visit. We got dream fast passes again. That is like the fifth time he have lucked out by getting either that our the after hours late pass thing so yes we consider outselves quite lucky.

A new ride came out at Disneyland, Toy Story Mania. We usually dont wait in line for rides longer then 15 or 20 minutes but this ride was new so the line was always 60 minutes or more, but it was worth it! I went on it twice and all the boys went 3 times. It was very fun. It's like this 3D shooting where your cart moves from screen to screen and has different types of games.

Me and Rachel always like to see what holiday hats they have at Disneyland I think we have almost enough picures with holiday stuff we could make a full calendar!

After the first three nights at the hotel we went to Aunt Kriss's house to stay. Friday Morning we went to Ruby's on the Peir for breakfast and my cinnanon french toast was as good as ever! Then we spent a couple hours at the beach. We went boogie boarding and we saw some dolphins swimming way close to us. Becca and Johnny thought they were sharks ahah! It was pretty cloudy so I think everone underestimated the power of the sun so pretty much everyone got toasted. We left the beach, we weren't done in the water. We went back to Aunt Kriss's pool and swam for a couple hours haha so then everyone got even more toasted. So we were all pretty tired and beat so we ordered pizza from bj's and had a relaxing night at the house.

Saturday was shopping day yay! We went first thing to the swap meet. I do love the swap meet. Me and Rachel got some Rainbow Sandles and Big and Sexy shampoo and conditioner. I also got some more sunglasses as if I need more. And the best part of this day was that all 9 of us were in the explorer. We for sure looked like the circus when we all got out of the car.

After the swap meet we were starving and so we went to one of our favorites, Claim Jumper. The reason we love this place so much is because of the amaizing desserts! As you can see from this picture i love them so much I was possesed by them.

So after a trip to H&M and a night of games movies and treats our trip was complete. It was a successful visit and a nice break. The only thing that would have made it better is if my family could have been there, but what can I say we are busy people, but Aunt Pam took good care of me so thanks Aunt Pam.

Manti Pageant

Last Sunday I got to go home to Orderville and make a surprise visit for a couple days. Its always fun to be able to go home and visit my family and friends. Then on Tuesday we all went to Manti and met the Hicks, Barth and Patterson familys and also Dana lives right by Manti so she came and met us too. It was way fun we went swimming for like 3 hours and then went and had food at the little fair type booths. They had really good scones. After that we just hung out on the temple grounds waiting for the Pageant to start. It was very good and even though I got sunburned and misquito bites it was worth it.

Last night for fathers day we went to the bees game! It was a good game and the bees won! I always have a good time when I get to spent time with family and we had fun at the game. They also had fireworks after! oooh aaah!

Aaron got a gift certificate to Golden Corral from one of his soccer player parents so he took Rachel Brandy Johnny and me for dinner on friday night! So thanks Aaron and also being Fathers day and all I wanted to thank you again for letting me live in your house and for always caring about what is going on in my life! I can't wait till you have your own kids cuz you are going to be one of the best dad's ever!

Yesterday my sister talked me into getting a season pass to Lagoon. So last night when Brandy got done with school we headed for Farmington. We got there at 7 and stayed till 11 it was the perfect length of time to be there. Jessica and her brother came and also the two Matt's. So we had a good time and hopefully I can make my season pass worth it!

Family Filled Weekend!

Last weekend I got to spend time with my family. My mom and my two brothers came into town Thursday afternoon. So Brandy, Dave and I met them at Sammy's for dinner.

Then on Saturday afternoon I went to Salt Lake to just sit around and talk with my mom and grandparents. My mom took me to the distribution center. I had never been there so it was fun! I got I cool picture of the new Presidence.

After we went to the distribution center it was off to the park. My Uncle Mike got married about two months ago or something haha, but they got married in Hawaii so they didn't have a reception or anything. So my uncle and his new wife Roxanne wanted to bring their two families together to meet so they had a afternoon party planned in the park.

It was a fun weekend with my family, but my family is not the only family I got to spend alittle time with. After I went to my Uncles park party, I met Dave and we went to the park were his family was having a fun evening BBQ. Daves parents were in town so the whole family got together and I got to meet all of them. It was a way fun evening with food, softball, and playground slides haha! Then on Sunday we went to Dave's sisters house and had dinner. It was his neice's birthday so we had presents and cake. They were all really great! Dave's family is similar to mine haha because there are alot of them and they are loud and like to have alot of fun. So it was really great.

So yea like I said it was a really fun family filled weekend and I loved every minute of it!

My cousin Caleb and my friend Becca got engaged yesterday. Since they don't have a blog I will tell you guys alittle about their relationship. Caleb got back from his mission the first week in January. I was trying to think of cute, fun, nice girls I know to hook him up with. Most of you that read my blog know that I could not just hook Caleb up with anyone, because we are very close and it had to be someone I loved and approved of! So I was going through all the girls I knew and then I thought of the perfect one! Becca and I met working a Zion Ponderosa together. We were the best of friends at the Ponderosa I know she would be perfect. Mostly I just wanted Caleb to go on a date I had no idea hooking him up on a date with my friend Becca would lead to this haha! So when I hooked them up on a date I was still in Califonia so I gave them my Jazz tickets. They had been talking on the phone a few days before they first went out and they were both really nervous and excited to go on a date. It was pretty fun to hear both sides when they first started dating and I was very excited because they both really liked eachother so I know I had made a match. They have now been dating about 4 months and they know that they are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together haha (I am such a sap)!

So yesterday I had the privalidge of helping Caleb with the Proposal. Dave and I went to Thanksgiving point about 15 minutes before Caleb and Becca would arrive. Earlier that day Caleb, Aunt Pam, and I spent the morning preparing. Caleb typed up some entrys from from his journal of dates they had and thinks they have done. Me and Aunt Pam made them cute haha. So we planned where we would put them and everything. So then Dave and I set them in all the spots in the Gardens at Thanksgiving point. The last stop There was a rose sticking out of the ground The ring was on the rose. There was also one last journal entry with that days date on it. It was blank so they could write in together what had happened that day. We were hiding up on the top of the waterfall getting it all on tape.

I couldn't be happier for them! I love them both and I am excited that Becca is going to be in the Fam! Haha it takes a strong women to deal with all of our crazy family, she is just crazy enough to fit in perfectly! So cangrats guys love ya both!!!

Last Friday me and Aaron went to the Jazz game at 7pm.
After the game we went and picked up Rachel and started
out trip to Orderville. We arrived in my good old home town
at 3am. We all stayed at the motel where I got to sleep in the
falling to love room with Becca haha it was precious! haha

Saturday morning we woke up and lounged around
for a while. Then I went to noahs T-ball game.
It was so cute! Noah just thinks the dirtier his
pants are the better he is.

Saturday afternoon we were all just sitting around talking
so we decided why not sit and talk in the car on the way
down to get the best snowcones in the whole wide world!!!
So Rachel Brandy and I dropped Caleb and Becca off in Zion
to hike while we went and got snow cones! They were just
as good as I always remembered! They were so worth the
drive! I got wedding cake flavor with creme and it was amazing!!!

We got back from getting our snowcones and just hung
out in the nice weather of Southern Utah. We had a BBQ
with everyone. It was a very fun relaxing day!

Sunday morning we had a mothers day breakfast and
had fun watching old home videos that were made with
the family. Then it was back to Nothern Utah.

I just wanted to Thank You Mom for being so wonderful!

Utah Jazz 2007-2008

Well this season came to an end of Friday night when we lost game 6 to the Lakers by 3 points. It was a rough game to watch. The Utah Jazz had a great season. The team was amaizing this year and I don't think that will change any time soon. The Utah Jazz finished the season with 54 wins 28 losses, and having the best record at home in the whole NBA with 37 wins and only 4 losses. We went into playoffs in 4th. We met the Houston Rockets in the first round and beat them in 6 games. We advanced to the second round to play the L.A. Lakers. It was a exciting series the Jazz lost the first 2 games in L.A. then came back to Utah and won 2 games here at home, so the series was tied 2-2 then we went back to L.A. and lost again in L.A. Then back to Utah were we down most of the game but game back in the end to bring the game within 3 points but we lost when the team missed 2 three point shots at the end to tie up the game. We lost by three which means the end of the road for us this season. I still love my Jazz though! I know one of these years we will get a Championship. We have a really young team with alot of talent, so watch out for the Utah Jazz in the upcoming years because there is going to be a winning team ready to bring Utah their first NBA Championship ever!!!

Alright everyone! I told you I would see you in Round two and here I am! Tonight was game 6 of the first round against the Houston Rockets the Jazz won 113-91! Round one went alittle something like this. Game one was in Houston the Jazz won 93-82. Game 2 was in Houston the Jazz won 90-84. Game 3 was in

Utah and all of us fans were very excited because we knew we had great odds at home. Unfortunaly we lost 92-94 :( it was a sad day, but we came back strong for game 4 in Utah. This was a great game. Not only did the Jazz win 86-82 but Uncle Miked hooked us up big time with lower bowl seats! It was the best game ever!!! So then it was back to Houston for game 5 we lost pretty bad 69-95 ouch I know! But it all ended well tonight back at home in Utah we won tonight 113-91. So now we advance to round 2 were we get to beat Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers! So bring it on Kobe!

2008 NBA Playoffs

Well everyone the Playoffs are finally here! Everyone Excited? Well if not you should be things are pretty intense this year! This is the best time of the year even better then Christmas! For those of you who don't know the Jazz finished 4th in the western conference with a 54-28 record. The Jazz had the best record at home in the NBA with 34 wins 24 losses. I believe that Utah has a very good chance of getting their first Title this year, and I am not the only one. According to John Hollinger of ESPN the Jazz have very good odds of winning. Here is what he has to say about it.

2. Why are the Playoff Odds so high on Utah?
There's a tendency to overreact to What Just Happened, so Utah's stinker against San Antonio on Wednesday night probably increased everyone's doubts about this team.
Nonetheless, the Power Rankings have Utah as the league's second-best team, and the Playoff Odds give them the best chance of winning the West at 31.0 perecnt.
The Jazz played extremely well down the stretch. Even with the meltdown in San Antonio included, over the last quarter of the season the Jazz had an offensive efficiency rating of 116.0 -- that dwarfs the Suns' league-leading mark of 111.2. To put that into context, if they had done it for a full season, the Jazz would have been by far the best offensive team of all time.
Utah went 37-12 after Jan. 1, and the number of blowout wins over quality teams is staggering. The Jazz beat the Celtics by 18 in Boston -- the Celtics' worst loss of the season anywhere. The Jazz beat New Orleans by 28, and then again by 22 -- two of the Hornets' three worst defeats of the year. They beat San Antonio by 26 and the Lakers by 24 -- for each, their worst loss of the season. They beat Phoenix by 22 and beat Denver by 27 ... twice.
Overall, Utah won an astounding 18 games by more than 20 points. In contrast, the Jazz didn't lose a single game by more than 20 points all season ... until Wednesday night in San Antonio. And given their questionable motivation in that game and Deron Williams' trouble with a bruised buttock, it's hard for me to hold that against them much when we have 81 games of evidence that they're the best pick in a compacted Western pack.

Open 3 weeks!

So I started working for SpringHill Suites when I moved back to Utah! I started working there 2 weeks before the hotel opened. It was a really cool opportunity to be here to see everything come together for opening day. I got to learn how to clean rooms and make beds the Marriott way haha! We aslo went through a week of computer training that was very helpful even having had Marriott experience I learned alot! It also brought all of our staff close because we were all working long hours together to get everything done! The hotel has now been open for 3 weeks today and is doing very well! We were 100% booked out first weekend open! We are hoping things go well here and if they do we will soon be opening a Marriott Residance Inn here in Lehi also and I will hopfully have the opportunity then to take a few steps up in my hospitality career!

Noah turned four this last Saturday on the 15th. His crazy Jazz fan sister (me) got him a awesome Carlos Boozer Jazz jersey! I am training him to be a true fan. So he loves that he is a Jazz man now and did not take the jersey off for 2 days! He truly beleives he plays for the jazz now and when I tell him the Jazz won he says, "You mean I won" haha what a cutie! So happy 4th birthday Noah!

Dinosaur Museum

This past week I took my friend Chris and Noah to the Dinosaur Museum. It was really fun! There were some pretty cool things there and out of all the cool things there, Noah's favorite part was the plastic dinosaurs, that he could play with at home. Oh well. Chris's favorite part was helping noah find the bones in the sand he got really into it, haha he didn't want to stop till he found the whole dinosaur. Haha my favorite part was the cool star room even though that has nothing to do with dinosaurs and the room was pretty small I still liked it because I like stars! Anyway that was my fun adventure to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point!

They were exploring all posiblities of what it could be. I had to tell them, "no it is now a back scratcher, not a toothbrush, not a comb."

"It is a snow scraper!" I thought it was pretty crazy that they did not know what a snow scaper was, but I guess if you have lived in Southern California your whole life you would never need to unbury your car from giant snowballs, so you would never need a snow scraper.

Some of greatest memories from family reunions is getting to see my cousin Caleb! We were always very close growing up. When I graduated from high school I moved to Provo Ut. Caleb and I went to a semester at UVSC together. I had so much fun! We took most of our classes together. We had alot of fun and he was my best friend. He got his mission call to Uruguay (I hope I spelled that right) and left in December 2005. I was sad that he left, but so happy he was doing the right thing. You can imagine how excited I was to go it Utah and see my cousin home from his mission! I flew into Salt Lake on Jan. 10th. Caleb and Brandy picked me up in Salt Lake. We went to temple square and walked about until the Jazz game started. We met our other cousin, Dana, there at the game. We all had a really great time, especially because the Jazz Won!

We went to the Temple on Friday Dec. 27th, because my cousin Alex got married to his new wife Cindy! I seem perfect for each other! I am really happy for them! Plus I love weddings because they are the best excuse to get everyone in my crazy family together to have a good time!

I spent Christmas this year at work! It is ok though because my family was in Utah so I got to spend Christmas with my work family! As you can see the weather was beautiful! It was 75 on Christmas day! We also have a really cool huge Christmas tree in the lobby of the resort! It is cool to see cause the big windows behind the tree have a full ocean view so it may not be a white Christmas but it sure was a beautiful one! I also did get to see my friend Danny he came in for only Christmas day and I went to aunt Kriss's house and saw some of my Gates cousins and all of their cute kids! So all and all it was a great day! I also got really great gifts that I wanted like a camera and a new cell phone! I also got some cool Utah Jazz stuff, One Tree Hill season 4 on DVD and money(which never hurts haha)!So yea it was a good Christmas! And it was even better cause I know that the next day I would be leaving for Utah to spaend time with my Family!

Sand Angels

While we were waiting for the boat parade to start we made sand angels. We figured since we were missing out on the snow in Utah we would just pretend like the sand was snow.

Two nights ago we went to the boat parade in Newport. I was pretty cool. Some of the boats were really festive! Here in Newport everyone was telling me about the boat parade and how I needed to go early to get a spot because everyone goes. So we went over to get our spot on J street at about seven. The parade didn't come by us until about 8. At 8 when the parade started we were till the only people on J street waiting for it to start. Once it started it was worth the wait though! We tried to take pictures but the camera was not picking up the lights from the boats behind us. So if you look close you can kinda see the lights!

My brother Noah is just like his dad! Crazy haha! He loves snakes and he plays with Kinky like she is his best friend! Wow I won't get near her but Noah loves going to visit her. It is the funniest thing every, she just wraps around him and Noah just sits there and says, "She's tying me up."

This weekend my fun sister and cousins came to visit us in Cailfornia. I love spending time with them and we always have so much fun when we are together. We went to disneyland on Friday. I had to work earlier so I met everyone there after. I hadn't been to Disneyland for the holiday yet. It was really fun and festive (I think I like halloween better still though). The best part was just being there with the people i love!

My Job!

This is were I work. I work at the front desk and answering phones. I love my job and I guess I have been trained to love hospitality. Yes I have to deal with alot of complicted guest, but when they are happy and you know you helped to make them happy it is worth all the crap. I love helping the people peaple here and knowing that it is up to me to give them an enjoyable vacation. It is also a great job because it has helped me to learn alot about the area and all the things there are to do here. I think it is a great experience that I have been given to move to a place like this and see how life is outside of my Utah bubble. I always wanted to get out and find new things and now I am doing that. And I am also learning that Utah may just be the place for me. But I am so greatful for the great job I have and for the opportunity to come live on the beach with my family.

Hi everyone I dicided to start a blog cuz it seems like the cool thing to do now days and it will just give me one more thing that I can waste my time on at work. haha. Well I am currently living in Newport Beach California in one of Aunt Kriss's beach houses. I like it here. It is much different here then in Utah but I am having fun. I work at the Marriott Newport Coast Villas. It is a very nice resort, quite the step up from the Provo Marriott. It is fun to be here with my family and be able to spend some time with them. As much fun as I am having here I think I will end up coming back to Utah. I miss my family, my friends , my bubble, and MY JAZZ! I love my Utah Jazz! Even though they are having a crappy week! Anyways I have so much fun reading all or your blogs that I wanted people to know what was up with me.
